The Designer Agreement

When you upload artwork to HellaPrints, you enter into this agreement with HELLAPRINTS LLC. It is written in plain language on purpose — here is the deal in full.

• You keep your copyright. You always own your art. We never claim it.
• You grant us a license. A non-exclusive, worldwide license to print, market, and sell your designs on the products you choose — for as long as they stay in your shop.
• You can leave anytime. Remove a design with 48 hours' notice, or close your shop entirely. We'll fulfil and pay out any orders already placed.
• No exclusivity. Sell the same art anywhere else you like. There are no contracts and no fees to join.

Content & Creativity Standards

HellaPrints is a home for original, well-crafted art. To keep the marketplace a place buyers trust, every design should meet these standards:

• The work is yours — created or substantially designed by you.
• AI-assisted work is allowed only if it is meaningfully transformed by you and disclosed during upload; fully AI-generated submissions are removed.
• Artwork is print-ready and represents the quality the preview promises.
• Titles, tags, and descriptions are accurate and not keyword-stuffed.

Prohibited Content

We will not publish designs that include:

• Copyrighted or trademarked material you don't own (brands, logos, characters, lyrics, photographs).
• Hate symbols, harassment, or content that demeans a protected group.
• Sexually explicit or NSFW imagery, or content sexualizing minors.
• Graphic violence, weapons sales, or drug paraphernalia.
• Misinformation or impersonation of a person or business.

Repeated violations lead to removal and account suspension.

Royalty & Payments

Every product has a base cost (manufacturing + platform fee). Your royalty is the margin you set on top — most designers settle around 15–20%.

• Payouts are issued on the 15th of each month for the prior month's confirmed sales.
• Minimum payout threshold is $25; balances below it roll to the next month.
• Supported methods: PayPal, Wise, and direct US bank transfer (ACH).
• Refunded or charged-back orders are deducted from future payouts.

Intellectual Property & DMCA

We respect intellectual property and expect designers to do the same.

• Valid DMCA takedown notices are actioned promptly; the affected design is disabled while we review.
• Designers may file a counter-notice if they believe a takedown was made in error.
• Repeat infringers have their accounts terminated.

File & Image Requirements

To print beautifully, uploads must meet these specs:

• Format: PNG or TIFF (transparent background where applicable).
• Resolution: 300 DPI minimum at the product's print size.
• Color: sRGB color profile.
• Layout: respect the safe zones and bleed in our per-product templates, which you can download from your dashboard.

Taxation & Tax Forms

You are an independent designer, responsible for your own income taxes.

• We collect a W-9 (US) or W-8BEN (international) before your first payout.
• US designers earning $600+ in a year receive a 1099-NEC.
• HellaPrints calculates, collects, and remits sales tax and VAT on customer orders — you don't handle that.

Account Suspension & Appeals

We may suspend an account for policy violations, fraud, or repeated quality complaints.

• Orders already placed are still fulfilled, and you're still paid for them.
• You may appeal within 30 days by emailing [email protected].
• We aim to review every appeal within 5 business days.

Marketing & Brand Usage

We love it when designers help spread the word.

• You may use HellaPrints product photography and your shop link in your own channels.
• Please don't imply an official partnership or endorsement beyond being an independent designer on the platform.
• With your permission, we may feature your work in our marketing and email campaigns.
